About RaiseYou
RaiseYou is a marketplace of quantifiable, charitable gifts (gifts with prices). It was founded by a team of entrepreneurs who were frustrated with not being able to understand the impact of their charitable donations. So they partnered with hundreds of top-rated U.S. charities to create a marketplace of charitable gifts. Because all RaiseYou gifts are priced, you will be able to measure the direct return on your donation. And with donation matching, RaiseYou provides an unparalleled Return on Donation. Also, we’ll keep an ongoing list of the gifts you have donated and lives you have raised – your own Schindler’s List.
RaiseYou is a privately funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit. RaiseYou was founded by entrepreneurs who have spent the past two decades creating some of the Internet's largest marketplaces. It’s our gift to you.
No, RaiseYou takes no fees. We just make sure your donation will be delivered directly to the charity of your choice where they then handle the delivery of supplies to those in need. A credit card transaction fee is charged by our merchant services provider, but even that fee has been reduced to a below-market rate because of our nonprofit status.
Getting Started
To find the perfect gift to donate to, start on our Home page or Advanced Search page. You can browse by gift category or search by matching level, area served, charity, or specific gift name using the keyword search field. Once on the search results page, you can use the “Refine Search” column to continue your search.
To become a Matcher, visit our Become a Matcher page. For a $1,000 minimum commitment, you can become a Matcher for your favorite gifts to multiply the good you do. Matching level is our default sort order so you will be increasing your favorite gifts’ exposure and donations. You will be listed as a Matcher on the RaiseYou site for each of your favorite gifts. RaiseYou also provides you with a personal web page to promote the gifts where you'll match donations.
Account/Profile
To create a new account, please visit our Sign Up page. Once you enter the important details, you will receive a confirmation email to verify your account. Once your account set up is complete, you will be well on your way to improving lives worldwide and tracking your progress while doing so.
Logging into RaiseYou requires a working email and a password. If you can’t remember your password, please use the “Forgot Password?” button on the Log In page. We will email you with instructions to reset your password.

Please make sure the email you are checking is the one you have used to sign up for RaiseYou. If an email does not appear within several minutes, please check your spam folder as some privacy settings reject mail from unfamiliar locations. If you still haven’t received your email, please contact us directly.
Each time you checkout on RaiseYou, you will be emailed a receipt showing your tax-deductible donations. You can also check your donation history at any time by logging in and going to the Donation History section of My RaiseYou. There you will be able to track all of your past purchases along with a running total of all the good you have done and all the lives you have positively impacted.
Payment/Credit Card
To add a new credit card, log in and go to the Payments section of My RaiseYou. There you will be able to add a new credit card by entering the appropriate information.
To remove an old credit card, log in and go to the Payments section of My RaiseYou. There you will be able to remove the card you no longer wish to use. Your change should show up immediately.
If you’re current credit card is close to expiring or has expired, log in and go to the Payments section of My RaiseYou. There you will be able to update the expiration date and security code (CVV). If you received a new credit card, please add the new card, and remove the old card. To ensure that your credit card information is properly handled, we don’t store any credit card information. Instead, we deliver it directly to a trusted merchant services provider who handles it in the most secure manner possible. Because of this, you can only change a limited amount of information (your expiration date and CVV) on your stored credit cards.
To ensure you’re financial information remains secure, we do not see or store your credit card information. Instead, a trusted merchant services provider handles that information. This also means we can’t see why your card was declined. Please contact your credit card company or bank to see why your donation cannot be processed.
Unfortunately, at this time we only accept credit card payments.
We don’t currently offer gift cards. We are continuously updating RaiseYou to provide a better experience for our donors, and gift cards may not be too far off. If you sign up for an account, we will email you with exciting updates so you will be the first to know when gift cards become available.
Donations
Since RaiseYou is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization operating as a donor advised fund, all donations are tax deductible for United States taxpayers. We will email you a tax receipt immediately after making a donation. You can also log in and access your donation receipt in the Donation History section of My RaiseYou. Our non-profit tax ID is 47-2466467.
Yes! You can log in and go to the Donation History section of My RaiseYou. Here, you will see a breakdown of your past purchases. You can also see your Total Good Done, which tracks your overall contribution to those in need worldwide - your own Schindler's List!
When donating to individual gifts, there is no minimum donation. However, we require an overall minimum donation of $10 at checkout for all of the gifts chosen.
Yes. When any user creates a matching program, he or she chooses a unique URL that lists all of the company’s matching gifts. RaiseYou accepts donations for those gifts, and you will be able to track the matching progress.
Yes. We accept donations from anywhere. We are a U.S.-based charity so only donors within the United States can deduct the donation from their taxes, but we happily accept donations from anywhere in the world.
Security/Privacy
All the gifts we list on RaiseYou are provided by top-rated United States charities as ranked by an independent third party provider. The participating charities have been vetted based on both their financial health and their accountability and transparency. We believe they are using their donations in the best way possible. We also make sure that the gifts listed on RaiseYou are also listed on the charity’s web site to verify authenticity.
RaiseYou is in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). To ensure that your credit card information is secure, we don’t store any credit card information. Instead, we deliver it directly to a trusted merchant services provider who handles it in the most secure manner possible. Because of this, you can only change a limited amount of information (your expiration date and CVV) on your stored credit cards.

Currently, we only partner with top-rated United States charities that market quantifiable charitable gifts (gifts with prices). This ensures that you can measure you’re impact. We welcome gift submissions from all top-rated charities. If you feel your favorite charity meets our criteria, please feel free to have it Add a Gift to RaiseYou.
If a charity lists quantifiable gifts (gifts with prices) on its own web site and is a top-rated United States charity, we are happy to post the charity’s gifts on RaiseYou. If you feel your favorite charity meets our criteria, please feel free to have it Add a Gift to RaiseYou.
One of our main goals at RaiseYou is to make donating to charitable organizations as transparent as possible. Any price differences are due to the charities’ differing assessment on the price of the charitable gift.
Through our partnerships with the charities listed on RaiseYou, we ensure that your donation is delivered directly to the charity providing the selected gift. The charity is then responsible for allocating the money to each gift listed and delivering the goods to those in need.
We only accept charitable gift submissions from U.S.-based 501(c)(3) charities that have quantifiable charitable gifts listed on their own web sites. If you feel your favorite charity meets our criteria, please feel free to have it Add a Gift to RaiseYou.
Gifts listed on RaiseYou are removed for a number of reasons. Sometimes a charity determines that a gift is no longer a top priority and stops listing it on its site, prompting RaiseYou to also remove the gift. Other times, we may determine a charity no longer matches our requirements, and we may remove all of their gifts. If you would like to inquire about the removal of a specific gift, feel free to contact us.
RaiseYou is a marketplace of the charitable gifts provided by other top-rated charities. This means we can only post gifts that are listed on other charities’ sites. We are constantly adding gifts we believe are of high value so its possible that the gift you are looking for will show up in the near future.
Of course! Once you are logged in, clicking the blue heart on the left hand side of the gifts listed in search results allows you to “Favorite” the gift. You can then log in and go to the Favorites section of My RaiseYou and easily donate to all your favorite gifts.
At this time, donors cannot donate in honor of someone else. We are continuously updating RaiseYou to provide a better experience for our donors, and this functionality may not be too far off.
