Pneumonia & Diarrhea Vaccines

Gives 1 pneumonia & 1 diarrhea vaccination
Gift Description:
$15 pays for vaccines to protect a child from pneumonia and diarrhea, two of the world's leading killers. Although pneumonia is easily preventable, it is a leading killer of children under five around the world. Pneumonia accounts for 18% of child deaths in developing countries, making it the number one vaccine-preventable cause of death worldwide. Similarly, rotavirus is the most common cause of severe diarrhea among infants and young children. Each year, more than half a million children under age five die as a result of rotavirus, and almost 2 million more become severely ill. Providing these two critical vaccines for a child protects against two of the most common but easily treatable diseases.
