Computers for Poor Students

Gives 1 computer
Gift Description:
Because computers have become integral aspects of daily modern life, your donation of a home computer to a low-income student in need is especially important. Computer skills are critical to survive in society, but access can be hard to come by for many. Computers are synonymous with today’s economy and can make a big difference in the lives of underprivileged individuals. World Care receives old computers from corporations, educational institutions, government agencies, and individuals and, if the computers are in good enough condition, hires computer engineers to refurbish them. This way, computers end up in the hands of those who otherwise could not acquire such a device and provides them with access to the marketplace, educational information, and a world of opportunity.
